Turning Point Strategic Advisors Restructures Executive Leadership for Continued Growth

SEATTLE, WA – Turning Point Strategic Advisors, a Seattle-based financial and strategic advisory firm serving middle market businesses, today announced a restructuring of its executive leadership team to support the firm’s next stage of growth.

Julie Stead has been named Managing Partner & President, succeeding Lucas Kartic, who is moving into a new role as Senior Partner with a Chief Revenue Officer mandate. This new structure creates clearer executive ownership across people and client delivery, enterprise operations, and revenue growth.

In her new role, Stead will lead Turning Point’s partner group, with responsibility for people leadership, culture, professional development, and client delivery. She will focus on strengthening leadership and talent across the firm while maintaining consistent standards for client service.

Kartic will lead the firm’s revenue growth strategy, deepening client relationships, strengthening business development across the partnership, and identifying opportunities to broaden Turning Point’s reach with middle market businesses.

The leadership change follows a period of significant growth for Turning Point, with annual revenue increasing 225% over the past five years and its staff more than doubling to over 40 full-time professionals.

“As Turning Point has expanded, the demands of leading the firm have changed,” said Alan Chaffee, founder and CEO of Turning Point Strategic Advisors. “Julie and Lucas bring different strengths to our business, and this structure gives each of them clear ownership of the areas where they can have the greatest impact. Most importantly, it gives us the capacity to grow in both size and capability without compromising the quality of our work or the experience we create for our people and clients.”

Kartic has been with Turning Point since its founding in 2009 and has played a significant role in the firm’s growth and development. A longtime advisor to middle market businesses, he has helped clients improve profitability and build enterprise value while also creating new capabilities within Turning Point to address their evolving needs.

“As one of Turning Point’s first employees, I’ve seen firsthand the difference we can make for our clients,” Kartic said. “We want to expand those relationships, bring more of our capabilities to the businesses we already serve, and introduce ourselves to new leaders who can benefit from our expertise. I’m looking forward to spending more of my time building on what we do well.”

Stead has been with Turning Point for over 15 years, progressing from Senior Consultant to Partner. During her tenure, she has advised dozens of owner-operated and middle market companies, guiding them through periods of growth, transition, and operational change, while taking on an increasingly active role in mentoring colleagues and shaping the firm’s approach to client delivery.

“What I'm most looking forward to is developing the next generation of leaders at Turning Point and giving them meaningful responsibility and opportunities to grow,” Stead said. “That’s an important part of building the foundation for our continued growth, but I also want to make sure we preserve the culture we’ve worked hard to build and the quality of the client relationships that have gotten us here.”

In 2025, Turning Point served more than 140 middle market companies, primarily with annual revenues between $20 million and $200 million. Unlike traditional fractional CFO firms that typically place a single outside consultant, Turning Point takes a team-based approach, bringing together CFOs, controllers, financial analysts, executive search professionals, and other specialists based on each client’s needs. This integrated model reinforces collaboration and consistency across the firm while building trusted relationships between clients and the Turning Point team.
