Turning Point Expands Aerospace & Defense Expertise with Addition of Federico Patey
SEATTLE, WA – Turning Point Strategic Advisors is pleased to announce the addition of Federico Patey as Senior Consultant. Federico brings experience in financial operations, post-acquisition integration, and financial reporting across the aerospace and defense, real estate development, and public accounting sectors.
Most recently, Federico served as Assistant Controller at Karman Space & Defense, where he played a key role in integrating newly acquired businesses into the company's financial operations. Working across multiple locations, he helped standardize accounting processes, establish financial reporting structures, and navigate the complexities of transitioning independently operated businesses into a publicly traded organization. Among his accomplishments, Patey developed an automated financial reporting package for Karman's space and launch division, consolidating financial information across multiple business units to improve consistency and visibility into financial performance.

Before joining Karman, Patey held accounting and finance roles in real estate development and public accounting, including positions with Palindrome and Novogradac & Company, where he worked with commercial real estate and affordable housing clients.
Federico’s path into finance began following six years of service in the United States Air Force. After transitioning from the military, he earned both a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance and a Master’s in Finance from Portland State University. He remains actively involved with the university as an adjunct finance instructor, drawing on his professional experience to help students understand complex financial concepts.
"I've always liked numbers and structure, which is what attracted me to accounting and finance after my time in the military,” said Patey. I’m excited to step into a consulting role because teaching, advising, and helping others are things I’ve always been passionate about.”
Outside of work, Federico enjoys golfing, camping, and exploring the Oregon coast with his family. He resides in Beaverton, Oregon; his house and hands full with two young daughters and two Border Collie / Australian Shepherd mix dogs.
