Data-Driven CFO Returns to Turning Point

SEATTLE, WA – Turning Point Strategic Advisors is thrilled to welcome back Nick Howe to its team as Principal. Howe worked alongside Turning Point’s CEO, Alan Chaffee, as a consultant for 12 years before he took an opportunity to join the Washington Shoe Company [WSC] as CFO.  

Having supported small businesses and Fortune 100 companies, Howe’s professional experience combined with his expertise in data analytics, Power BI, and software implementation will greatly benefit Turning Point’s clients gain insights into their financial health, understand KPIs, and improve internal operations.

“When Nick left us for WSC, it was a great opportunity for him to progress in his career. By controlling the financial and operational needs of a single organization with revenue over $50MM he learned to run a business from the inside out, rather than the outside in. I am excited to have him back at the firm after almost a decade. His aptitude for making data-driven decisions will have a tremendous positive impact on our clients’ businesses,” says Alan Chaffee.

As for Nick on the transition “I am enthusiastic about returning to the consulting world and reuniting with many former colleagues at Turning Point. Right now is the perfect time and opportunity for me to take the skills I’ve acquired as CFO at Washington Shoe Company, and use them to do more good for more businesses. One of my favorite things about my job is my ability to provide validation that gut instincts are correct. I give business owners the facts to back up their decisions.” He continues by acknowledging his former employer – “I’ll always be grateful CEO Karl Moehring and the team at WSC. My time with this family – and it truly was a family – was invaluable. I am proud to have been part of their esteemed legacy, 134 years and counting.”

As a Principal, Howe will lead Turning Point’s data analytics division, actively participating in client engagements and managing a team of consultants. Nick is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, and he holds an MBA from Seattle University. Based in Washington, when Nick is not working, he enjoys hiking, watching football, and spending time with his wife and three children.
