Seasoned Accountant Joins Turning Point to Make a Greater Impact

SEATTLE, WA – Jeremy Holcomb is stepping into the consulting industry for the first time after nearly two decades as an accountant and controller for middle market companies, ranging from $10 million to $1 billion in annual revenue. His decision to join Turning Point was driven by a desire to experience more diversity in his day-to-day role and face distinct challenges to help businesses succeed.

Serving as both an independent contributor and a manager of a team in his previous posts, Jeremy derives energy from accounting at its core. As a CPA, he is an expert in GAAP rules, preparing and analyzing financial data, evaluating risk, and providing solutions to help businesses optimize operations. He has overseen multiple successful ERP implementations, and most recently helped his company convert from SAP to Net Suite in just three months without any interruptions to the business.

“It might sound strange, but I love accounting. There is structure and there are rules to follow no matter what you’re doing. I am excited to join Turning Point because I’ll have the opportunity to help various clients, work with different departments, and offer new insights and perspectives to a company. I am always trying to learn new things as they relate to my profession, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge with others, and also gaining knowledge from them,” reflects Holcomb.

With diverse experience in telecommunications, manufacturing, and consumer goods, Holcomb is equipped with the proficiency to approach different challenges with a clear vision and a finely tuned approach. “We are excited to have Jeremy on our team. He brings a wealth of knowledge as a controller, strong ethics, and valuable experience with numerous industries and systems to the firm. His background indicates that he is patient, organized, and hard-working. He will be a great asset to us and our clients,” says Turning Point CEO, Alan Chaffee.

As a Senior Consultant, Jeremy’s responsibilities include conducting month-end close, development and ongoing preparation of financial reporting packages for internal and external use, and development of best practices for accounting policies and procedures to be shared with stakeholders.

Holcomb holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Idaho, the state in which he is currently based. He and his wife have two preteen daughters and in his free time, Holcomb likes to travel as a family. They are loyal Mariners fans and look forward to relocating to Seattle in the future, allowing them the opportunity to attend more games.
