Alan Chaffee, President
Alan Chaffee is the President of Turning Point. Alan brings more than two decades of complex accounting and financial knowledge, and more than a decade of experience in senior executive roles, including CFO, COO, President and Board of Director positions. His many experiences have given him a unique skill set of financial and operational expertise. Alan has many success stories that have been the “turning point” for each respective comp-any. He has led a manufacturing company from $800k in annual sales to over $30MM in approximately 4 years; negotiated an acquisition price up from $4MM to $32MM; and turned a bank’s $13MM write-off into full payout. Alan brings the same skill, vigor and determination to each and every one of his clients.
Nick Howe
Nick Howe has been with the Turning Point team for six years. As a highly effective financial analyst, Nick brings a big picture vision to each of his clients and provides each of them with a greater understanding of the drivers of their business as well as valuable details of how to operate their business more efficiently. Nick’s data, analysis and insights contribute to his clients’ ability to accomplish greater efficiencies and a healthier bottom line.
Robyn Vergillo
Robyn Vergillo has been consulting with the Turning Point team for over four years. Robyn helps clients achieve better margins in operations by using data driven methods to drive efficiency increases. She has spent 15 years working in the manufacturing industry in a wide range of financial and operational roles. Robyn is APICS certified in production and inventory management and has been successful in cleaning up and streamlining the inventory processes and warehouse management at large international manufacturing companies.
Tonia Williams
Tonia Williams has been working with members of the Turning Point team for over 15 years. As an expert Controller, Tonia specializes in providing our clientele with accurate GAAP financial statements and a greater understanding of what the financials mean. One of Tonia’s great strengths is in streamlining accounting processes to provide clients with a higher level of quality in a shorter window of time. It is not uncommon for Tonia to find a way to reduce a monthly close cycle from 10 days to 4. Tonia also brings experience in forensic accounting and fraud identification.

Lucas Kartic
Lucas Kartic has been a part of the Turning Point team since 2008. Working mainly in the area of Financial Analysis his areas of focus include creating GAAP Financial Models that allow our clients to get a clear financial picture. He also has designed strategic operational and financial metrics and scorecards that help managers make informed decisions. Lucas graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2010 with a Double Major in Business Administration and Accounting. He is currently pursuing his CPA license, with an expected completion date of Fall 2011.

paul spencer
Paul Spencer has served clients in the Pacific Northwest for over 15 years. His specialties include financial and operational management and strategy with a focus on complex accounting issues and financial reporting. Paul's clients have ranged from small entrepreneurial startups in the technology and biotech arenas to multi-billion dollar multinational retailers, pharmaceutical, telecom and transportation companies.

Julie Stead
Julie Stead began her public accounting career working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, gaining significant experience in industries including real estate, software/IT and retail. After moving to private industry, she served as Senior Accountant and later, Financial Reporting Manager for two large publicly traded companies where she played a key role in financial reporting and internal control processes. In 2008, Julie returned to public accounting working with privately held clients and not-for-profits across the Northwest region. With her diverse background and expertise in performing audits and reviewing internal controls procedures, Julie serves clients on many different levels.

brent weisel
Brent Weisel has been with Turning Point for since 2010. He has degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Central Washington University where he was elected to the student government and later appointed to the Board of Trustees. Brent's ability to extrapolate complex data and provide clients with business intelligence in a timely, cost-effective manner makes him a valuable part of the Turning Point team.
